RECURRING ROLES:
THE VIRGINIAN
Prior to the broadcast of the Laredo pilot
as an episode of the Virginian in April 1965, William Smith (credited
as Bill Smith) had a small recurring role as “Bill” a ranchhand who occasionally
hung out with Randy Boone. He also had featured parts in a couple
of pre-Laredo episodes and one post-Laredo episode.
As Randy Boone’s pal Bill in “Rope of Lies” [3-25-64].
As Andy Adams in “A Killer in Town” [10-9-63] with
Doug McClure and guest star Broderick Crawford.
