This was Claude Akins second of five appearances as Ranger Cotton Buckmeister and the only one in which he is partnered up with Neville Brand.  In his other episodes, he basically replaces Brand’s character as the less intelligent Ranger who tries to follow the rules and the Captain’s orders.  This was not a particularly interesting episode and is of no interest to Smith & Brown fans.

Reese and Cotton are heroes in San Diablo when they overcome two Mexican terrorists.  They  stay and teach the farmers to defend themselves.
