This premiere episode contained four of the fast action sequences that marked this series. In most sequences each of the five used their signature skill to defeat the bad guys without bloodshed, death or graphic violence. In this episode, they round up a gang of bank robbers, save Sutton Hollister from a cheating gunfighter who accosts him at Skillet's restaurant and, in the end, round up Wollack's men while Wollack does himself in falling off a tower and burying himself in a pile of gold bars.William Smith's favorite scene: A sequence which takes place in the Hollister barn as Brodie & Sutton are saddling up for the confrontation with Wollack is William Smith's favorite in the series. Brodie and Sutton engage in an impromptu shooting competition. It starts when Brodie comments that silly challenges such as shooting a feather off an egg without breaking it are no real test of a gunfighter. Even as he speaks, Sutton shoots the feather & the competition is on. The two get serious as they take out flies, hinges, nails, etc. but, in the end, the joy of the mutual display of skill brings laughter.
