THE REBELS
William Smith  had a featured role in this 1979 mini-series as John Waverly who spends the Revolutionary War seeking revenge against Judson Fletcher [Don Johnson] for killing his brother -- an 18th Century Falconetti in a three-corner hat.  Waverly’s brother cheated in a duel by pulling a second gun and was killed by Fletcher as Waverly stands by as his second.  Waverly tries unsuccessfully to ambush Fletcher while he’s in bed with a woman.  He eventually takes  him by surprise while he’s camped in the snow with some troops.  Waverly also shoots Doug McClure’s character in the back before he is killed by another soldier.
