NiteOwl review: C.C. & Company was written and produced by Roger Smith for his wife, Ann Margaret. He was criticized for having her do a nude love scene with Namath. However, the criticism should have been saved for the disastrous casting of Joe Namath in the lead. Apparently his name value and his pleasant personality was seen as a counterbalance to his lack of acting skills. At no time is it possible to believe his character would ever have joined a gang. William Smith was the consummate biker leader, a nasty piece of business who was mean, jealous and ultimately afraid of losing face with the rest of the gang. Ann Margaret looked great in her many outfits. But they couldn't save this movie with Joe Namath getting the most screen time.

Chick Note: The real mystery in this film is why the wardrobe, hair and makeup folks let William Smith look so much better than Joe Namath. Although the villain, Bill looked like a magnificent warrior. Namath looked like a dork.
